February 27, 2015

Microsoft is going to close two mobile phone factories in China and cut around 9,000 jobs by the end of March, reported Nikkei on February 27. Microsoft acquired the two factories, situated in Beijing and Dongguan respectively, in the US$7.2 billion deal to buy Nokia's mobile phone business division in April last year. Some of the production will be shifted to Vietnam, according to the report.
